EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW
Young keepers will be accompanied by a personal VIP Guide, who will introduce them to some of the Park’s smaller and friendlier animals, such as chinchillas, rats, meerkats, ferrets, rabbits and even some fascinating invertebrates. During the 2-hour experience the Mini Keeper will find out how to care for these animals, plus will learn some incredible facts, which are sure to impress their school mates!
This is suitable for children between the ages of 5-9 years.

- Meeting, feeding and helping to care for animals such as chinchillas, rats, meerkats, ferrets, rabbits and even some fascinating invertebrates
- Admission to the Safari Park
- A keeper certificate
- Guidebook
- Pictures from your day on a memory stick, taken by your guide
- Arrive at WMSP, turn right at the island on the drive and enter through the black gates.
- Follow the signs for the Safari Drive and then park in the tarmac bays near the Main Reception. Your VIP Guide will meet you here.
- Head to the Discovery Trail to meet some smaller animals and help to weigh the feeds, feed the animals, clean and tidy the enclosures, replenish bedding, help with the enrichment and handling session.
- Meet up with your parents or guardians when the experience is complete. You now have the rest of the day to spend as you wish.
- Don’t forget to call in at Reception to pick up your memory stick.
- Suitable for children between the ages of 5-9 years.
- One parent may accompany the Mini Keeper to watch during the Experience, but they will not be able to participate. They will only have access to the Safari Walk areas, and will not gain access to the Safari Drive.
- Maximum two children per day.
- VIP Experiences can either be booked for a specific date or on an open-dated basis valid for the season. Whilst we will always try to accommodate changes in date, this is subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
- Once an experience has been purchased, refunds will not be considered.
