EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW

Young keepers will get to meet our Indian rhinos, lorikeets, meerkats and lemurs as well as tours around the Reptile House and Safari Drive. They’ll spend the morning experiencing the life of a Keeper and the duties this entails! 

This is suitable for children between the ages of 10-15 years.

  • Meeting, feeding and helping to care for animals such as rhinos, lemurs, meerkats and more

  • Pictures from your day on a memory stick, taken by your guide
  • Arrive at WMSP, turn right at the island on the drive and enter through the black gates.
  • Follow the signs for the Safari Drive and then park in the tarmac bays near the Main Reception. Your VIP Guide will meet you here.
  • First stop of the day is the Indian Rhino House. Here you will help to weigh the feeds, feed the rhinos, help with some cleaning and sweeping and watch the training.
  • Next, Lemur Woods and the African village. Help our Keepers get ready for the day. Then over to see the meerkats where you will clean the glass and help to feed them. Finally, back out into Lemur Woods to spot the lemurs.
  • A walk around the Reptile House to learn about some of our reptiles.
  • Then on to Lorikeet Landing to help put out some fruit on skewers and have photos whilst feeding the lorikeets.
  • Back into one of our jeeps for a tour around the Safari to see more of our animals.
  • Time to meet up with your parents or guardians. You can use your lunch voucher in one of our restaurants and your ride wristband for unlimited rides in the Adventure Theme Park!
  • Don’t forget to call in at Reception to pick up your memory stick.
  • Suitable for children between the ages of 10-15 years.
  • Junior Keepers will need to participate in the Experience unaccompanied by a parent. One parent can have access to the Safari Walk areas to wait for the Junior Keeper, but will not gain access to the Safari Drive. A Ride Wristband also is not included for the parent but can be purchased separately at the Wristband Office if required.
  • Maximum two children per day.
  • Only available during our Summer Season.
  • VIP Experiences can either be booked for a specific date or on an open-dated basis valid for the season. Whilst we will always try to accommodate changes in date, this is subject to availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
  • Once an experience has been purchased, refunds will not be considered.
