Quadruple Award Wins Celebrated
We are celebrating four award wins recognising guest experiences, conservation and our people.
The four prestigious accolades, recognise the outstanding experiences we deliver for guests, our commitment to animal welfare and conservation, and our dedication to creating a positive workplace for our team.
For the fourth year running, our Safari Lodges have been recognised in the 2026 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards, placing them among the top 10% of hotels worldwide.
The award celebrates businesses that consistently receive exceptional reviews and feedback from visitors, with the achievement reflecting the memorable overnight experiences enjoyed by guests.
We have also been recognised at the BIAZA (British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums) Awards, where our “New Pad for the Pod” project was named runner-up in the ‘Habitats’ category.
The ambitious project saw the transformation of the hippo house into a modern, state-of-the-art habitat designed around the needs of the hippo pod.
The achievement celebrates the dedication of our ungulate team and everyone involved in bringing the project to life, showcasing their continued commitment to providing the highest standards of care and environments for the animals.
Further recognition came at the Herefordshire & Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, where we were crowned winner of the ‘Health & Wellbeing in the Workplace Award’.
The accolade celebrates the efforts of our People, Development & Culture team in supporting colleagues and creating a workplace where employees can thrive.
The Park has also been named among the UK’s top day visit attractions, achieving a joint 10th place ranking in the Big Day Out Index, created by AttractionTickets.com, highlighting its popularity as a must-visit destination for families and visitors looking for memorable experiences.
Managing Director, Joanne Hammick, said: “Winning four awards across such a wide range of areas is a wonderful achievement for everyone at the Park. From our guests enjoying unforgettable stays and days out, to our teams delivering exceptional animal care and creating a great place to work, these awards recognise the passion and dedication of our entire team.
“We would like to thank our guests, colleagues and partners for their continued support. There is always something exciting happening at West Midlands Safari Park, and we look forward to continuing to create amazing experiences.”
