New Male Camel is Already Turning Heads
A very stylish new arrival has joined the WMSP family – meet Jochi, a handsome male Bactrian camel!
Jochi travelled all the way from Welsh Mountain Zoo earlier this week to meet our resident female camels – and he’s already turning heads.
With his windswept fringe and shaggy beard, Jochi is rocking what staff are calling “desert chic,” and it won’t be long before he’s charming all the ladies.
Bactrian camels are built for extremes, with two humps that store fat for long periods without food, and thick coats that protect them from both freezing winters and scorching summers.
Visitors on the Safari Drive should keep an eye out for Jochi… and his fabulous hairdo!
