Free On Demand Bus Travel to us for February

Families heading to us this February can enjoy free travel on the Worcestershire on Demand following the launch of its new North West zone.

Worcestershire on Demand lets passengers book journeys exactly when they need them, with no fixed routes or timetables, dropping them off outside the Park’s entrance.

The new North West zone also includes a wide range of other family friendly attractions, from exploring charming local market towns like Bewdley or Tenbury Wells to woodland walks around the Wyre Forest.

To celebrate recent launches elsewhere in the county, free travel will also apply to North Malvern and North Central zones until the end of February.

Councillor Karl Perks, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport at Worcestershire County Council, said: “It’s fantastic to offer families the chance to enjoy a fun filled day out at West Midlands Safari Park without worrying about travel costs or how to get there.”

“Our on demand bus service helps those who live in rural areas and rely on public transport, or simply want to leave the car at home, reach places they might not otherwise be able to access and we’re proud to offer this for free in certain zones during the half term break.”

Manager Director of West Midlands Safari Park, Joanne Hammick, said: "Making our Park easier to reach is incredibly important to us, and we’re proud to support the Worcestershire on Demand service as an easy and accessible way for families to enjoy a day out with us. To make the experience even more rewarding, we’re also offering 50% off our Safari Minibus Guided Tours or Safari Truck Guided Tours for guests who travel during February using the service.

“These will be subject to availability, but all guests need to do is show proof of their trip on the Worcestershire on Demand app at Main Reception upon arrival. It’s a fantastic initiative that opens the door to unforgettable wildlife experiences for even more people."

To support smooth and efficient operations across all areas, journeys within the North West, North Malvern and North Central zones are capped at 15 kilometres (approx. 9 miles) measured as the crow flies.
