During school holidays the Park gets very busy. It is much quieter in term time and generally Saturdays are quieter than Sundays.
On Bank Holidays and during the main school holidays, the Animal Reserves can become VERY BUSY between 11.30am and 2.00pm. A normal journey would take about 1 hour and 15 minutes, although this can increase significantly at busy times. We would suggest a visit between 2.00pm and 4.00pm would be much more enjoyable.
You are welcome to drive around as many times as you wish - although please be aware of last admission times.
We hope that our suggestions will help you to plan your visit - don't forget, if there simply isn’t enough hours in the day, you can use your free return ticket.
For visitors arriving between 10:00-11:00am...
Safari Drive-Through: Visitors arriving early will benefit from the least queues and be able to feed some of the animals at their leisure - special diet animal food is available to purchase from the kiosk when you arrive. For early arrivals, the 4-mile safari drive-through normally takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes. (Please note - There are no toilet facilities in the drive-through so you may want a stop before entering - there are toilets in the main car park area.)
Discovery Trail: After your safari adventure, park your vehicle and head for Discovery Trail where you will find a range of animal feeds, talks and shows throughout this walk through area. Also located here is our Explorers Café and Oasis Coffee Bar - ideal for lunch.
