MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR VISIT...
We hope that our suggestions will be helpful to you to plan your visit - don't forget, if there is simply not enough hours in the day, you have a free return ticket to come again before the Park closes for winter.
SUGGESTED ITINERARIES...
(please note, these have been prepared purely as a guide to help you make the most of your visit. The Safari will take much longer on busy days.)
For those guests that arrive at opening time (10.00am)
The four mile safari adventure normally takes about one hour and fifteen minutes - if you arrive early.
Visitors arriving early will benefit from the least queues and be able to feed the animals at their leisure - special diet animal food is available from the kiosk when you arrive.
As there are no toilet facilities in the four mile safari, you may want a toilet stop before entering - these are situated in the Main Car Park.
After your safari adventure, park your vehicle and head for Discovery Trail where you will find:
The Sealion Encounter at the Seal Island Exhibit Pool
Twilight Cave
SeaQuarium
Creepy Crawlies
Sealion Show
Friendly Reptile Encounter
Friendly Animal Encounter
Reptile House
And the Explorers Café and Oasis Coffee Bar - ideal for lunch.
The Amusement Area is packed with rides and amusements for all the fun of
the fair. There are plenty of rides and amusements to suit all members of the
family. Wristbands are available from the Wristband Office and Ride Tickets
from machines.
Hippo Lakes, home to the largest family group of Hippo in the country, is situated not far from all the action - last feeding timing is 3.30pm.
When it's time for home, don't forget to call in at the African Trading Company
Souvenir Shop to take a memento back with you or perhaps some goodies from
the Congo Candy Sweet Shop for the journey.
For those guests that arrive at Peak Time (11.00am-1.00pm)
The animal reserves can become very busy at this time of the day. Therefore, to avoid lengthy delays, we would recommend that your park your vehicle and head for Discovery Trail where you will find:
The Sealion Encounter at the Seal Island Exhibit Pool
New all-weather Twilight Cave
Seaquarium
Creepy Crawlies
Sealion Show
Friendly Reptile Encounter
Friendly Animal Encounter
Reptile House
and the newly refurbished Explorers Café and Oasis Coffee Bar - ideal for lunch.
The Amusement Area is packed with rides and amusements for all the fun of

Hippo Lakes, home to the largest family group of Hippo in the country, is situated not far from all the action.
The animal reserves should be much quieter from 3.00pm onwards. Perhaps
just time to stop off at the Congo Candy Sweet Shop before heading back to
your vehicle, to start your safari.
Kindly note: occasionally the animal reserves close early.
Please check closing time, if visiting the Amusement Area first.
TIPS & INFORMATION...
During school holidays the Park gets very busy.
It is much quieter in term time and generally Saturdays are quieter than Sundays.
Beat the Animal Reserve Queues during peak times!
On Bank Holidays and during the main school holidays, the Animal Reserves can become VERY busy between 11.30am and 2.30pm. A normal journey would take about an hour and fifteen minutes, though this can increase significantly at busy times. We would suggest a visit between 3.00pm and 5.00pm would be much more enjoyable.
You are welcome to drive around as many times as you wish - although please be aware of last admission times.
