Outreach Sessions

Hands on interactive encounters in the comfort of your own meeting room or school. Small groups or whole school assemblies are available. An ideal treat for all ages, and can be tailored to fit in with any curriculum, badge or subject!

Only £150 per half day (up to 3 hours) or £210 per full day (up to 6 hours).
(Bookings are subject to availability and distance)

CREATURE FEATURES– fun for all ages!
Ideal fun treat for nurseries, brownies, schools, colleges, corporate groups and more. Tailored to your groups age and requirements, these sessions give hands on interaction with a wide variety of small exotic animals. From hissing cockroaches and hairy tarantulas to fluffy chinchillas or maybe even our tame skunk, there are encounter opportunities galore!

SCHOOL CURRICULUM
Sessions designed around your curriculum, with either a focus on hands on activities and memorable encounters, or in-depth talks looking at the Park as a business, or a mixture of both! Topics include: Colours and Markings, Amazing Animal Senses, Who Eats What, Moving and Growing and  Saving our Planet Careers with Animals, Conservation, Science in the Workplace, Animal Behaviour, Enrichment and training, I.C.T. and a variety of Leisure and tourism topics.

TAILOR MADE SESSIONS
If you can’t see the topic of your choice just contact the Learning Team and we will create bespoke outreach sessions just for you. Examples of bespoke packages created previously: The Butterfly Lion, Nocturnal Mammals, Madagascan Creatures, Animal Collection Planning and Legislation, The African Big Five, Record Keeping and ICT, Native Wildlife Habitat Restoration, Brownies – Friends of the Animals Badge, Layers of the Rainforest, Habitats of the World etc....
Whatever the subject we will create the session of your choice, based on YOUR need.

PLEASE NOTE: All bespoke session bookings need to be confirmed a minimum of 21 days before the session. Outreach sessions are not available during May, June or July and are subject to availability. Distances over 25 miles away from DY12 1LF (as per google directions) will be charged an additional £15 travel cost. Maximum distance of 40 miles for animal welfare reasons. Animal selection will depend on availability and health/welfare of animals on the day of visit.
