 YOU, US AND THE BUS! - Bus shelter design competition
Enter YOUR bus shelter design and have the chance to see them made into reality.
West Midland Safari Park is calling for designs that link the world of public transport with the wildlife world. A winning design from each age category will be made into reality for the busy bus stops located just outside the Park entrance.

HELP THE ENVIRONMENT – By enhancing public transport we can help reduce emissions and the use of fossil fuels!
BRING YOUR DESIGNS TO LIFE – The winning designs will be made into reality by our experienced construction team.
WIN AN ADOPT A BUDDY – The winning designers will receive an Adopt a Buddy package or their favourite animal which includes free admission to the Safari Park.

RESCUED FLUFFY NEEDS A NAME...
This ball of fluff is an albino female ferret who was found abandoned in the local area around 3 months ago. A West Midland Safari Park employee who rescues ferrets in her own time, took her in and with a lot of living care and attention brought her back to good health. This very pretty girl has now been given a new home in the Safari Park’s education department where she will take part in school teaching sessions and friendly animal encounters, giving her the chance to get the cuddles she so enjoys. This loving ferret currently has no name though, so we will be running a competition throughout Santa Safari to give her a name, with the winner receiving a family pass to the Safari Park and the chance to meet this cuddly ferret in a private animal encounter.
To enter; name suggestions need to be put on a postcard, along with the entrants name, age, address and email or phone number, and posted to;
‘Competition Corner, Education Department, West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, Spring Grove, Bewdley, Worcestershire, DY12 1LF’.
Alternatively entries can be submitted by email to education@wmsp.co.uk.
Closing date for entries will be 31st January 2010.

Discovery Trail Children’s Scratch Card Competition...
During your visit to the Safari Park, don’t forget to take part in our free children’s Discovery Trail quiz. Pick up your free scratch card on arrival, answer the questions found throughout the Discovery Trail and place your entry into our Monthly Prize Draw. Winners are randomly picked from correctly answered entries at the end of every month, and get a full Adopt A Buddy Package which includes the following;
- An Adopt-A-Buddy introduction letter with colour photograph explaining how your donation will be used.
- A personalised adoption certificate, hand signed by Director of Wildlife Bob Lawrence and Assistant Director of Wildlife Angela Potter (Valid for 12 months).
- An A2 sized full colour fact sheet poster containing all kinds of interesting information about your chosen animal.
- A glossy 8x6 inch photograph of your chosen animal complete with folding card picture frame.
- An Adopt-A-Buddy membership card, which entitles you to one complimentary visit to West Midland Safari Park. (Valid until the end of the season when they are issued).
- A limited edition illustrated full colour print of your chosen animal, which is ready to frame.
- An A4 sketchbook made from recycled Ele-Poo paper!
- A set of 10 coloured 'Natural Tamarind Twig Pencils' to use with your sketchbook.

There is lots to inspire you, from Santa’s Reindeer, Camels which could carry the three kings, Hippo’s wallowing in the snow, or any of our other animals enjoying the festive season.
Why not send us your festive safari drawing. Select drawings will be displayed in our Discovery Trail throughout December. A winner from each age category will receive a VIP trip to the Safari Park for their class in 2010.
