Creepy Crawlies ...
Creepy Crawlies is home to some of the creepiest crawliest creatures on the planet – which includes the world’s largest tarantula species, namely the goliath bird eating spider, the amazing leaf cutting ants, and a plague of giant locusts, to name just a few! And whilst it surely is everyone’s worst nightmare to come face to face with a real live scorpion, there is sure to be one of those on display too along with an infestation of Madagascan Hissing Cockroaches.
The eerie Imperial Scorpion, native of the tropical rain forest's of Africa, are social creatures in the wild that feed on small insects and can live for up to 10 years.
Most of the species housed within this exhibit are exotic and originate from all around the world. Naturally, temperature and humidity is vital to this collection, some of which are also nocturnal.
This exhibit will give visitors the perfect opportunity to see species that they would not normally expect to encounter within our homeland.
